Hello Tom, I enjoyed your article on 'Tongues'
and I agreed with you 100%. (By the way I enjoy all your articles)
Recently, I was listening to a Christian radio program, by
this gentleman, who is on every day. This man is extremely
anti- charismatic, anti- Copeland, anti-Hagin, and anti-Myers, and I'm sure he
would be anti-Brown. Any way, his interpretation of 1Cor 14:4 is that
"Speaking in tongues is a selfish act of the believer, and that speaking in
tongues is a useless exercise, because it is gibberish, that no one
understands." Well, this is another case of one not properly dividing the
Word. I guess what I'm telling you is nothing new. You have probably ran across
a dozen or maybe 100 of these kind of people.
Any way, keep up the good fight. I'm very happy that you are in the body of
Christ.

Dear Brother Brown, Praise God for your website! My husband, Chuck, and I
have been married three months and were water baptized last
weekend after
rededicating out lives to the lord. We had been
cohabiting together and in
many, many other ways were FAR FAR from the Lord.

man, I am a former competitive athlete trying to get back into training

Tom, thank you so much for sharing this information. My husband and I have a
music ministry and neither of us speak in tongues. We both have been
baptized (at a young age). But I'm glad you pointed out the difference
in being Baptized in the Holy Spirit. I have wanted to be able to speak
in tongues and understand it.
