It’s Wider than Texas!
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may
have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high
and deep is the love of Christ,--
Eph 3:17-18
Recently, my husband and I went to a Kenneth Copeland Minister’s
Conference. We were given name tags to wear in order for people to know who we are and where we
came from.
At lunchtime we ate with several ministers. We all introduces ourselves
as we sat down to eat. There were some that said, "El Paso, hmm,
where is that?" Well of course we told them in Texas.
One pastor’s wife said, " I know where El Paso is located. I’m
from Houston, and my family and I were making a trip to California. We
drove all night and I slept. When I finally awoke I noticed the road sign
read Texas. I exclaimed, "Texas! We have been driving for eleven
hours and we’re still in Texas!"
She said that her husband replied, "Yes, Texas is big. We are in
El Paso. It’s the border of Texas."
This dear woman did not grasped how wide is Texas. I wonder how many of
us truly understand how wide the love of God is. We can be assured of one
thing. It’s wider than Texas! You can try to drive away from God, but no
matter how far you have tried to get away from God, he still loves you.
